Our Curry Powder is an authentic blend of Indian spices that has a lovely depth of flavour with a kick of heat. Use to season meat, poultry & fish. Add to rice, sauces, lentils, beans & vegetables. Add a pinch to egg & cheese dishes or mix with natural yoghurt to make an aromatic marinade for chicken or lamb. Thread chunks of the marinated meat onto skewers & grill or barbeque. Add to breadcrumb coatings for chicken or fish or sprinkle on homemade potato wedges.
To make a basic curry sauce base simply sauté diced onion, ginger & garlic until they soften. Add curry powder & mix in well, don’t allow it to burn or the spices will take on a bitter flavour. Add your chosen meat or vegetables & ensure that it is well coated in the spice mixture. Cook until the meat is evenly browned on the outside. Next add coconut milk or chopped tomatoes & water, simmer until the meat is thoroughly cooked.
