The deliciously spicy but not too hot flavour of Balti makes it a great choice for chicken, pork or beef. An exciting spicy blend of herbs & spices full of the flavours if India. usually cooked with chicken or lamb, it also works very well with vegetables instead of meat. Sprinkle some Balti spice on chicken thighs & pop in the oven wrapped in foil. Use to make marinades & spicy dips & sprinkle onto potato wedges to make spiced wedges.
Chop 2 cloves of fresh garlic, 2 medium onions, 1 tin chopped tomatoes & 1 green pepper. Heat 3 tbsp oil and fry off the onions, garlic, for a few mins then add 2-3 tsp of Mr. Bell’s Balti spice & fry for a few minutes but don’t allow it to burn as the spices will take on a bitter flavour. Then add chopped tomatoes & 700g of beef, chicken lamb or Vegetables. You can also add cream or yoghurt if you like a creamy curry. Serve garnished with fresh coriander leaves, alongside basmati rice & naan bread.
