Smoked paprika has a deep red colour & powerful smoky aroma.
A Spanish cousin to the more widely used sweet paprika. It’s made from pimiento peppers that have been dried & smoked over an oak fire, then ground into a fine powder.
Our spice adds an incredibly seductive smoky flavour & aroma that will add an authentic Spanish flavour to any dish. Traditionally used in making chorizo sausage & paella recipes. It also goes well in stews, soups, casseroles & meat especially pork, poultry, fish, shellfish, vegetables, potatoes, in egg dishes or in dry rubs for any meat. Sprinkle over potato salad, coleslaw & devilled eggs.
Honestly, we haven’t come across a savoury recipe yet that we couldn’t imagine sprinkling with a little smoked paprika!
