Aged Basmati Rice is grown in the fertile soil of the Himalayan foothills. This AAA grade basmati rice has been aged to enhance and intensify the aromatic traits of this rice.
The ageing process dehydrates the rice which intensifies the aroma of the rice and when cooked it expands much more than ordinary basmati resulting in a more fluffy, aromatic rice with a fragrant, nutlike flavour and aroma. Perfect for your favourite rice dices!
Place rice in a large pan with twice the amount of cold water. Add salt if desired and bring to the boil. Cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until the water has been absorbed. Remove from the heat and keep covered. Leave to stand for 5 minutes.
Fluff through with a fork and serve immediately.
